Following the first session of the webinar series “Future-Ready Manufacturing Starts with People – Upskilling, Collaboration and Fast Reconfiguration for Europe’s Industry,” the second webinar will continue the discussion by focusing on how innovative solutions developed within EU projects can move from research environments to real industrial application.
The series was created to foster exchange and dialogue among EU-funded projects working on the transformation of manufacturing. By sharing experiences and lessons learned, participants aim to build a collective understanding of how new technologies, skills and collaborative approaches can help make European industry more sustainable, resilient and adaptable.
The previous webinar
During Session #1, partners explored the human dimension of industrial transformation, discussing the skills required for future manufacturing, training and learning approaches to support professionals, and the challenges companies face when adopting new technologies. The discussion highlighted how workforce development, collaboration and sustainability awareness are essential elements for enabling the successful adoption of innovation in industrial environments.
Building on these insights, the second session will focus on turning knowledge and skills into concrete action, exploring how project results can be implemented, scaled and transferred to the market.
The projects involved are:
RaRe2, CREDIT, R3GROUP, MULTIMOLD, RESTORE, VOLTAGE, RENÉE and BIOGEMSE.
Session #2 | 22 April 2026 – 2:30 PM CET
“From Skills to Action: Training, Exploitation and Market Pathways”
Building on the first discussion, this webinar will focus on how EU project results can move from research to real industrial adoption. Participants will exchange approaches for training, exploitation strategies and collaboration models that can help transform project outcomes into practical solutions used by companies.
The session will present examples of how projects are translating research into industrial pilots, demonstrators and real-life applications, while also discussing exploitation strategies that support the long-term impact of project results. Participants will explore how training programmes, guidelines and practical tools can help companies—especially SMEs—adopt innovative technologies and integrate them into their operations.
Finally, the discussion will highlight the importance of collaborative industrial ecosystems, where research organisations, companies and other stakeholders work together to accelerate the uptake of innovation and create new opportunities for sustainable manufacturing in Europe.
Through this second webinar, the series aims to close the loop between skills development and real industrial deployment, showing how people, knowledge and collaboration can ultimately transform research results into tangible solutions for the manufacturing sector.
