DaCapo joins forces with the AI4manufacturing community to drive AI-enabled circular manufacturing
The DaCapo project is proud to join the AI4manufacturing community, a dynamic
pan-European initiative shaping the future of manufacturing through artificial intelligence. This partnership unlocks new pathways for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and impact – bringing AI-powered, circular manufacturing solutions closer to industrial reality.
AI4Manufacturing is the go-to community hub connecting ΑΙ and manufacturing innovation, bringing together peers and experts to learn, exchange ideas, and collaborate. This dynamic virtual space is packed with insights, exciting news, inspiring use cases, upcoming events, and the latest publications and webinars – all designed to spark collaboration and accelerate AI-driven manufacturing.
DaCapo’s participation in the AI4manufacturing community closely aligns with its mission to deliver human-centric digital tools and services that support the adoption of Circular Economy (CE) strategies across manufacturing value chains and improve the efficiency of imported critical raw materials.
To achieve this, DaCapo integrates a comprehensive set of advanced tools and methodologies, including Digital Product Passports, a Circular Economy Decision Support System, a modular Digital Thread concept, and RTO-hosted didactic factories. Together, these innovations pioneer new approaches to improving sustainability, resilience, and resource efficiency across key industrial sectors such as aeronautics, ICT and consumer electronics, and warehousing.
Running over 42 months, DaCapo brings together 15 partners from 10 European countries and is supported by nearly €6 million in EU funding. Throughout the project, partners work toward a shared vision through four main objectives:
- Establishing an agile methodology for the efficient implementation of Circular Economy strategies in EU manufacturing value chains.
- Implementing a digital architecture that enables new sustainable and circular business models.
- Developing AI-based tools and Digital Twins to support new circular product lifecycles.
- Facilitating the uptake of digital tools and circular business models by industry and society.
By joining the AI4manufacturing community, DaCapo further strengthens its collaborative ties with other EU research and innovation initiatives and experts who share a common vision of intelligent, resilient, and human-centered manufacturing. Through this expanded network, DaCapo aims to amplify the impact of its results and contribute meaningfully to Europe’s leadership in the digital and green transformation of its industrial base.
